A Message On The Coronavirus

(Note: This was written back in March when the coronavirus was officially declared a pandemic, the lockdown began, and many of us had to stay quarantined at home. While the tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) has seen a decline in deaths, hospitalizations, and new cases, and have begun reopening in phases, along with other U.S. states and other countries, many areas around the world are still in crisis. However, this is written in the hope that everyone continues to stay safe and healthy, and that there will be a bright future in which the entire globe will get past this virus.)

How does one respond during a dark period of time?

How does one act, think, and feel when confronted with a tremendous obstacle that affects everyday life?

How do you care for loved ones when we all have to be physically and socially distant from one another?

The answers are not simple, and it may be easier said than done,

However . . .

We can all express love and respect to each other through various forms.

We can be informative and follow proper guidelines to protect ourselves.

In an unimaginable time, we need to stay strong, stay connected, and to remain patient, hopeful, and optimistic that this ordeal will end soon.

I say this to the coronavirus, in the words of Tony Stark (Iron Man) from The Avengers:

“There’s no throne. There is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it’s too much for us but it’s all on you. Because if we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn well sure we’ll avenge it.”

Thank you to everyone risking their lives on the front lines during this pandemic:

Healthcare Workers

Doctors

Nurses

Scientists

First Responders

Police Officers

Firefighters

Delivery Workers

Mail Services

All Essential Workers

These are the true heroes and Avengers, before, during, and after this pandemic, and every single day because their work is always essential. They save lives and provide people with what we need to survive. They deserve all our thanks and then some!

We’ll be back and get through this! Stay safe everyone!
